Patch 1.18 release date now looking grim for july??

After reading the current hot topic about the patch date here I stumbled across this post by Chinook and I got to say it made me cringe quite a bit . On other language forums there can often be vital bits of info released to those specific forums that others don't hear. So, as a result, I'd like to see what you guys think of this recent bit of info the French forum seems to have gotten.

Can anyone confirm this seemingly terrible outlook for patch that seemed fairly certain to come out in the beginning-mid of july? I know these guys at SE are working pretty hard, but it's hard not to get frustrated after seeing that July is now not a 100% confirmed patch date release.

If this seems like an overreaction I'll go ahead and close thread so doesn't clog the forums, but for now I'd like to hear what you guys have to say .

I think that since it was delayed once they're just careful in their choice of words. It's still coming out this month but they're not giving a date in case something unexpected happen and it get pushed back. There wasn't any emphasis on the IF in the original post. They could have simply said: I can't give a date but it's coming out this month. They decided to add the "if everything goes well" part since it's still in testing.

At least that's how i perceive that post.

All it is is careful wording for the "just in-case scenario". If they are going to delay it again they will say so in the next producer's letter. I wouldn't read too far into things because nothing is ever guaranteed with patches.

It's not really typical in the slightest as far as SE is concerned. However, Yoshida is really starting to act like the other MMO devs that do things "right", as in "announce a patch too early and then eat your words afterwards".
