    Lavender's Bed Large Houses Issue

I don't understand why the Lavender's Bed large houses face AWAY of the road and/or entrance. The only acceptable house is the #6 one which happen to be the cheapest of the Large. Why this decision? Who makes houses face away? Makes them so unappealing to buy. I really want a Large house in Lavender's Bed but it seem only Limsa Lominsa plots use common sense. Is like having a row of houses and the middle one facing sideways toward another house instead of the road.

I'm hoping this is fixed. There is a reason almost no one is buying large plots in Gridania and this is a major one.

The overall zone of Lavender Beds is beautiful but I think a lot of it is lost by having these rather large, jagged rock/tree bits surrounding most the houses. One plot, I think it was 28, was completely blocked from the surrounding view due to those. I can't imagine buying a house that is partially blocked by something so visually unappealing. You pay extra for certain plots due to the surrounding environment and yet you cannot see and enjoy it due to the weird rock/tree (I'm not sure what they're supposed to be) things enclosing your house.

And also the weird sideways facing houses confuses me greatly as well. Why would the front of a building not face the road or gate? You never see that in reality so it looks extremely odd. Also, especially in Lavender Beds, most the houses are facing away from the plot's visual interests. Plot 6 for example has a beautiful waterfall and view of a lake. But the house and garden was decided to face a rock wall instead. Why? That makes no sense to me.

Sorry to ramble in a rant. Overall, I think all 3 zones were designed lovely. I like to just run through them as they all have points of interest and it seems like a lot of care was invested into it to make sure most if not all the houses had some sort of environmental appeal. But I kind of feel a lot of this effort was lost when houses end up sideways and backwards and not taking full advantage of their placement within the zone. I have to agree with you that Mist is the only one that doesn't give me a sense of displacement because its the only one that isn't awkward in that sense.

My FC was originally going to buy a house in the Lavender Beds but once we saw that all the large plots faced in weird arbitrary directions we quickly changed to Mist instead. I know several others who did the same thing... I really see no reason for the plots to be oriented like this. It makes them so unappealing.

It is appealing to some and unappealing to others.

We bought plot 28 in lavender beds and we actually like that it is orientated that way. We need to be open minded that some people prefer it orientated sideways, especially if the scenery is in that direction.

Why does the nice view need to be out the front door? In real life, we have these things called windows that allow you to look out from any wall of the house, and I actually HAVE SEEN houses in the real world where the front door does not face the road. Such houses were generally built before the other houses around them; in some cases the road had been moved or changed direction in the interim. Perhaps there wasn't a road at all until that house was built, and since it ended at their front door, that turned into the driveway and people made a cross street on the adjacent side. In this respect, it's more like an organically settled area, rather than a suburban subdivision that happens to have houses of different sizes.

in real life, the master bedroom or balcony/patio/backyard faces the views. Since this game doesnt have either, it doesnt make sense yea lol.

The situation in the Goblet is even worse. Plot 5, one of the large ones, is placed so the construction zone actively blocks the front gate. If you want to get to the front garden you've got to jump over the fence.
