But they are still used exactly the same as a sword just a different name. Bow and Dagger would have completely different play mechanics wouldn't they?

Sorry did you just mean that Archer couldn't use Daggers as GLA uses them or were you pointing out that some Classes already have different weapon types within the same Class?
