Looking for the name of the singer from FF9 in the European(french) version.

I know it's not FF14:ARR related so I hope it's alright to post it in the general section of the community.

On youtube, 'watch?v=D74m2OUm5MI', this is the french version of FF9 where 'Melodies of life' is sung in English in a higher pitch than Emiko Shiratori.

Anyone knows who the singer is?

Emiko Shikatori sung both English and Japanese version.

She is much higher pitched than Emiko Shikatori. At first I thought you meant this version by Mioune: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TMlFWvcUCD0 which is in French and quite pretty. Not sure who that is, but it's not Emiko unless she re-sang it in a higher pitch.

I hate to say it, but that really is just the original version by Emiko Shiratori - the video has just been sped up a little so the pitch of the audio is higher. But that is definitely Emiko Shiratori's version (it's taken from the game after all).

The only version of Melodies of Life that is officially licensed and features a different singer to Emiko Shiratori that I'm aware of is the live version at the Distant Worlds concert that featured Susan Calloway on vocals, who you should know as the vocalist on FFXIV's main theme song Answers. But that version you posted is definitely the original English version as depicted in the ending, only with with mucked up audio that makes the vocals sound higher.
