Can we have some level 99 enemies?

No, not to kill, of course. I mean as a reason to make people think about navigating through the world. It sucks you can hop on a mount and just run through enemies. Having level 99 enemies strategically placed around new upcoming areas to get players to carefully sneak around them would help add some much needed dangers to adventuring. I really enjoyed trying to get to that next hard to reach aetheryte in 1.0 and what made it hard was figuring out how to sneak around a wild boar and a giant lizard. It took me like 100+ tries, but once I figured it out, it felt like an accomplishment and it's an experience I'll remember for years to come.

And who can forget those treants by the King Moogle fight? The ones that forced you to slowly make your way through them by walking and having to avoid that one mob that runs through them...I forgot the name of it.

Wait you mean we weren't suppose to kill the Guardians of the Grove?

If there were high level mobs in areas like in 1.0, then it's fair game to kill them...well toss bodies at them for hours if need be. Sadly they'd have to bring back high level mobs and the different aggro mechanics for the world to return to being "alive."

Guardians was a butt mechanic and I hope it never appears again. Especially when the dev team didn't have the foresight initially to realize the Spriggans linked with the instajib death trees that for some precarious reason, seemed to possess sphincters. 1.0 was a weird world.

However, I do miss the overworld having some semblance of threat, in spite of that. Garlean strongholds were tricky to maneuver around solo, even at 50 and with solid gear. Now to call them a joke would be an insult to jokes everywhere. What the hell happened in the last 5 years that turned the Garleans, Magitek included, into marshmallow pillow fighters? To say nothing of everywhere else. I can't really think of a single place in the ARR overworld that is legitimately threatening, without going out of your way to put yourself in danger. I know XI got the stigma of the absurdity behind there seemingly always being a rarab, no matter how much you level, that can dominate you, but the exact opposite end of the spectrum isn't a wise move either. Give me an area with at least level 80 enemies, make a new tier of maps to coax people to enter the hellscape for loot, while still being an entirely optional area, it'll be a good time.

No, we can not. It has been very specifically addressed before by Yoshi-P himself. I recall this from the beta forums. Apparently something like this is far "too stressful".

No thanks. The level 99 mobs in 1.0 that one shot you guarded parts of the map where they didn't want you to go and was for the most part absolutely pointless. They had huge maps with a lot of copy pasted areas with lvl99 mobs that one shot you there was no reason to go in these areas no content was out there.

Devs should be working on content that actually has a point to it.

I agree, I was so happy to see that wet effect update rather than a chocobo sp reset, I look forward to the puddles, we all know the upcoming Leviathan fight will be nothing without puddles.

Before we get level 99 enemies (where we need 100 players to kill) we need first level 51-60 enemies (which we can kill with a full party)
