I am more curious over that....Green Chicken...in the Gilgamesh battle picture.
The green chicken is definitely this game's version of Enkidu, Gilgamesh's loyal companion. He's gone through more than a few transformations over the series, from flying demon to dog to weapon, and now....a chicken.
And there are no mimes in Doma. Samurai are the classic job class said to be from Doma in FFVI. The only Mime in FFVI is Gogo, who joins the group on Triangle Island in the belly of a giant worm.
I would say the Doma thing is definitely a reference to FFVI's Doma, what with all the other references to other FF's in the game already, like CT. That being said, the "thou" style of speech won't be there since that is a translation thing Woolsey introduced. Now, if the translators are awesome, yes, we should see some ye old Garamonde stylings in the NA version. *crosses fingers*
