Espers. Some of them look like that. Maduin (Terra's/Tina's father) would have head something on his head that looked like this.

But also to Doma Castle. They even mentioned the Phantomtrain once that sometimes departs from .. I think Castrum Meridianum --- I think we are onto something

I feel those are horns rather than ears...its just in such a weird position to be ears of that size.

I'm hoping for a more reptilian race...that could make me go find where I threw my Fantasia and down it...

Yeah, I remember that poll. I voted mixed races, myself. Not because of Lilisette but because I am one, so rare for games to present mixed races. Hasn't stopped them from adding new races anyway, like True Garleans (they have three eyes!) and Padjal (which have always been there, I know, but still). As for the picture of the Dornan woman, we don't know what her height is, the twin in the background is just that, in the back ground. Unless you get down and dirty with manipulating the image it's not exactly obvious what her height is. Also, could still be ears, alot of miqo'te headgear forces their ears into pointy recesses.

I'm going with ears.. They seem in an awkward spot for horns. Horns normally protrude from the crown of the head, and these are clearly on the sides. Just my thought.

Honestly, i'm just thinking it's going to be a miqote girl in some exotic Doma clothing, if you look at her pose its the same as the neutral miqo idle~
also, the ears look like they start around the same spot, it just looks like Yugiri has hers pushed down, instead of sticking up, it could be the hood pushing them down, or SE could just be wanting to make her unique, like Menphilia/Alphinaud have unique models, she could be a unique miqote with natural floppy ears~

here's to hoping it really is a new race though!
