    Side Quest Boss Discussion

So with Gilgamesh confirmed to be in the game, I got so excited that I'm beginning to think "what ifs" for other FF boss instances. The thing is, they can do so much with it! They could add just about anything or anyone! Some boss battles that I think that would be highly entertaining (especially in 8 man full parties) would be Zeromus from FF4 and Sephiroth from FF7. Omega perhaps? Seriously! There needs to be an Omega somewhere in this game! They could even be fought in a tournament arena (wolf's den perhaps) much like they did with FF13-2. Man, I'm just getting so excited just thinking about it!

So my question is this. If they were to bring back older characters; ones that will be your opponent, who would you like to see?

I can't find the concept art but Omega weapon will be in game at some point and people speculated it has some connection with Nael Van Darnus. Yoshi P showed it ages ago in a live letter before 2.0 release.

For lore reasons, I'd love to see Mateus and Zodiark! Maybe even story line relevant, that would be what I would be very excited about!

Gilgamesh is a unique case though, as his character seems to literally be traveling through dimensions and is the same character in almost all of his appearances in a Final Fantasy game. So he can appear in more than one game and makes sense lore wise. There's a very good chance more classic Final Fantasy bosses will appear (because, they already have!), just as new incarnations and not literally the same boss from previous installments. So I don't think Sephiroth would work because in my opinion it would be silly to make a new incarnation of him and it would be just as bad to break lore and bring the actual Sephiroth over from FFVII.

A true paladin... will sheathe his sword.

That they did, but a cameo appearance in a different franchise is a lot different than bringing him back in another numbered Final Fantasy game wouldn't you say?
