Anyway, I'm expecting the first new classes/jobs to appear at the first expansion. On another note, I hope that Merlwyb gets more spotlight and shows more of her personality like in 1.0. It's what made me fall in love with the npc.

If Thancred is equipped for battle, does this mean hes actually going to fight something in a cutscene or instance? I mean, I've been waiting for when Minfilia stops standing around being pretty and does something, but all we get from her is the 'princess' treatment.

SE may call it 2.x but it's a completely rewritten game starting from scratch with everything but the story so it's effectively 1.x.

I disagree completely with this viewpoint. There is quite a bit of continuity between 1.x and 2.x of FFXIV. I would guess that one who never really played FFXIV 1.x for any length of time would take this viewpoint.

You sir do not know that for sure. In fact, if I take your statement literally... MSK should eventually come out. Once it is released, at that moment in time, you will be dead wrong! And as others have already pointed out in this thread, ARC, SMN and SCH were all very last minute.

I for one am just happy to have FFXIV alive and thriving to the point that we are even having these discussions. We are very fortunate to have a new FF MMO that has so much potential for future Classes, Jobs and content!
