Tank Trolling in Ultima

I'm sorry if I'm posting this in the wrong place, I do not know were else to post it. Anyway, here's my tale.

Earlier today, I was fighting Ultima Hard Mode. All was going great and wonderful until we got to the second set of lasers. Tank had 3 stacks, needed the switch off, the tank with no stacks dies. Obviously, we wipe. No biggie, mistakes happen. Well, the tank with the 3 tanks starts throwing a fit and starts going off on the other tank for not doing his job correctly. The other tank finally says that it was his first time and that he apologies. No issues after that, we try again. We get to that spot again, and we survive. Awesome! Did much better. Then the final sphere phase happens. The tank on the boss dies, and the tank leading the sphere charge also dies. (and yes tank lb was on). Again, another wipe. But we got further that time. So it shouldn't have been an issue right? NOPE! Apparently it was a huge problem for the experienced tank. He starts yelling and complaining to the new tank, (guess he was in the wrong stance or something), and telling him how terrible of a person he was. And then all of a sudden, the window to vote to kick the first timer tank appears. The motion to kick was rejected. At the very moment the motion was rejected, the experienced tank starts trolling the boss. He grabs Ultima's aggro and brings Ultima to the starting point to kill everyone. We all die. Obviously people started throwing out their "wtf" naturally. No response from the tank. We respawn and without figuring out what's going on, he immediately grabs Ultima and does it again. Wipe. Then we all respawn; and then he does it a THIRD time. Again, we all wipe. At this point I'm trying to vote to kick him. Nope. Can't do it. A message that says, "You cannot vote to kick when the battle has begin" appears. With how quickly he's grabbing Ultima's aggro we can't get to the page to vote to kick him fast enough. So now we're trying to abandon the instance. We can't. the message "You cannot vote to abandon when in battle" appears. So now we try to leave regardless of the 30min rule. Nope! "You cannot leave the instance when in battle" appears. So because he keeps grabbing aggro so quickly, we're stuck. We can't kick him, we can't abandon, and we can't leave. We literally have to sit here and suffer though his trolling for 1 hour. Nobody wanted to do that so we started switching our platforms off in order to leave the instance. Sadly, troll wins his little troll-trantrum (yes, lets make that a word now).

How're we supposed remove the troll if we cannot vote to kick him during battle? How're we supposed to leave the instance if we can't prevent the fight from beginning?

Do I have to turn my console off every single time a player decides to be hostile like this? Why can't the vote to kick, or leave the instance features remain open during battles? I get that they shouldn't be used to troll the way people do with the ready check. But if the motion is rejected, then there should be a 3min timer or something before you can do it again regardless of it being in battle or not.

This whole situation is really unfair to the players who just wanna leave the match.

you can leave if you die... So you can just kill yourself to leave the instance or just leave before the start fight you should had time

That's awful. I'm getting so tired of people who foam at the mouth at the drop of a hat. I can only imagine how fun they are to be around in real life.

For the trolling, I believe you can disconnect for 11 minutes, and it should boot you out of the dungeon with no penalty. At least that's what I've heard, I could be wrong on that, so hopefully someone will come around to confirm. It sucks that you would have to be the one to take that step, but it's the only workaround for now if someone is going to be that big of an ass.

There really needs to be a place for player warnings. I get that things can turn ugly real fast in those type of threads, but having your reputation follow you around would deter at least some of the asshats.

you can leave if you die... So you can just kill yourself to leave the instance or just leave before the start fight you should had time

Believe me, we tried. But it wouldn't work either.

I'm pretty sure I wouldn't violate anything there. If enough people had hit "yes" then clearly that means enough people in the group wanted him gone.

When I sent a ticket for someone doing the exact same thing on Titan, the response was that they have no rules stating how someone plays their character, and once inside an instance, anyone is free to attack or not attack anything as they see fit. As long as the person isn't going off in chat the whole time with things like "take this, screw you" they can't say if he was griefing or not, his keyboard could have messed up, he could have been trying a different strategy. They were hesitant to put in the vote kick system, and have said they will take any abuse seriously, they would most likely side with the one person that was getting "teamed up on" by the group, since being a prick isn't one of the valid reason to kick someone. I don't agree with it, but that's how SE operates.

Stay dead, don't return or accept raise, and open the menu. You should be able to vote kick or leave the duty while still dead, and if everyone other than the tank stays down you'll have some time between his deaths and returns with no extra deaths of your own.

Edit: After watching some videos, looks like I'm wrong. If the whole party dies you get auto-rezzed, so that kills that idea. As long as someone can get away, though, you should still be able to get into the menu and initiate the vote while dead.

Purposely trying to get your teammates killed is a form of griefing and selecting the "harassment" option is perfectly valid and justified.

Same with going off on another player telling them how much of a terrible person they are. That's also a justified harassment kick.
