    Binding Coil Lockout

    Right now, you cannot enter coil once you have completed a Turn. This means once you have completed a Turn, you can no longer enter that Turn for the rest of the week.

    Why is it designed that way, rather than a lockout system similar to CT's? Or a system that allows players to re-enter those Turns with their loot options all disabled?

    Is it because they intended players to form static groups to complete coil? Any dev quotes would be nice. I'm curious.

    If it was that way a static group could easily sell clears of every turn regularly, and in the case of ct style loot you could sell specific items or drastically speed up progression. So it's a limit in place on the most endgame content to keep those things from happening.

    I think they made it like that to keep people "busy" for as long as possible while they work on new content. If you get locked out for a week, it will take many weeks/months before you feel like you have gotten everything you wanted from the turns.
    I think this is also the reason why they will remove the lockout when they add more content. Or maybe that's just a rumor?

    I haven't heard why, but I believe the Turn lockout (note not loot) was done before CT was implemented but CT's loot lockout system was in effect made because of complaints over the Turn lockout system.

    Get a good piece of gear per week, but able to run multiple times etc.?

    For Coil T1-5 they are making it so you won't be locked out but I don't know about the loot situation. Perhaps they'll change it similar to CT's?

    Why ? Why removing a cap to put an other ? That would be stupid. As i90 is supposed to become the new DL, there is absolutely no reason there should be a cap of any sort on coil.

    nope unlimited loot there will be no myth cap or loot cap i90 will be the new i70

    Coil lockout is because progress in coil is saved.
    T1-T5 lockout will be removed and progress won't be saved any more.
    That means you can no longer start at snake for T1 (unless you happen to join in progress) once it's available in the duty finder, but have to run through ADS and all the trash for every visit there...
    T6-T9 will have the progression save again.

    I'd easily give up the progression save in order to be able to run Coil without or with a less restricting lockout. The progress save only matters for what, turn 1 atm? Unless future coil turns are going to be hours-long things instead of just a miniboss and a boss like current turns it's something of a pointless feature.

    TBH I think if we could do the coil turns in whatever order we wish, with clearing the turn doing the locking on that turn only, it would be a lot easier to swallow for people. I would love to be able to save earlier coil turns for later in the week for when people that need stuff there are available or to practice with those who cannot play as often, and not hinder progress for the rest of our group that are able to do those turns easily.

    As it is now we have to screw over the first group in order for the second to have time to practice T5, which sucks when your FC is made of friends you have known for years.

    Doubt it. I think you just need one time completion of T5 to continue the story so you can get access to the new turns.
    It has been confirmed. T6-9 are their own "Thing" that just requires completion of the story quest for clearing T5. The T1-5 scenario ends with T5. T6 is an entirely different area.

    I think it was just their solution to extend the life of the content. I don't mind it too much, though I think the turns should be locked based on actually finishing them in the future to avoid the kind of harassment people have had to deal with over the past few months (eg. Group advertising turn 1-4, but when ready you enter turn 5. You're now done with coil for the week).

    I'm fairly sure they did this instead of a loot lockout because they did not intend for every member of a group to necessarily get something every single week.

    There is will always be a lockout on Content. Why? Because SE just wants our money. It really sucks for some of us. It's all about money, SE wants to suck as much money from us as they can. How long are players going to put up with week long lockouts I'm not sure. But sooner or later people will get sick of it and SE will start to lose more money and maybe they will change it.



    Also people say that its because some players will sell items. No different than them selling Primal Clears. Anyways heres some food for thought. When we get 2.2 will we have to beat T5 each week to get access to T6? If so can you imagine how many people are going to be selling T6 access only?


    I wish CoB was like Crystal Tower lockout. I would take one piece of gear per week from CoB over none.
