    This has been brought loads of time already, and every time I have agreed that it is deparately needed to improve communications with more than one linkshell. Sure, you can switch between linkshells when standing around or in battle, but if you're navigating other menu's or crafting then you can't contribute to conversation in a linkshell other than the one you are wearing at the time. 'tis very inconvenient.

    It's sad how far people have come from the "one linkshell" policy that most endgame LS's had as a rule.
    Well, I guess once the HNMs start coming out and more endgame starts showing up there will be a lot of shells that have conflict with each other and a whole shit storm of drama will occur.
    People won't be complaining about this once it all starts going down, it will end up being "Why do you have THAT shell?" and other things like that.

    Not so much on my server, the only shell that has that policy is Hidden Power, that and we can have our "sister" shell, which is our social, but members are only allowed to have those.

    Yes it sad. I'm not comfortable with shells adopting this policy, seems like a giant step backwards to me. I like the freedom to hang with different groups and I don't see the point in becoming possessive over your members unless they lack social graces. We shouldn't have to feel like we need to restrict members to earn their loyalty imo.

    if someone wants to go and judge me for being in multiple linkshells that's their problem not mine. no matter how many shells i join and enjoy the company of i have one main ls and the rest are friends i join with occasionally.

    Absolutely agree with this. In their current implementation, linkshells are kind of like the 'private channels' of other games, except you require an item to be given to you to access them.

    Adding the option to just do /1 /2 /3 /4 /5... would be amazing.

    Had a discussion about this with the dev. team about wanting to be able to chat within multiple linkshells at the same time. Though it won’t be for quite some time, we are looking into addressing this.

    That's great to hear, even if it won't be for quite some time. (We talking the end of 2011 here or far into 2012 for it?) It would only add to creating a larger sense of community. Of course, global chat channels would help in that regards as well. Maybe both can be investigated at the same time.
