It's Dwarfin' Time!
Still doesn't change the fact that macros need to queue, hence it'll slow them down which would cause a DPS loss.

Macros are not very useful in this game. Macros don't queue, you lose control in weaving off-gcd abilities properly between gcd abilities which is a DPS loss, you lose control of you cds that you need for certain dps checks, some abilities leave you immobile for a moment or throw you in a set direction and will kill you if you don't have control over the abilities.
There's a reason why macro usage isn't encouraged in these forums.
haha never macro your rotation. never a good thing. you will lose.
I don't always pug, but when i do, it's with Pretty Ugly Guys

Macros really are bad, the use of /wait is inaccurate so you lose seconds off your rotation, using a second macro or ability interrupts the first so you can't use procs, the syntax is really limited so it's hard to define a target for the macro other than what you manually target, which kind of defeats the point of not just using the ability in the first place.
The only macros I used on monk was when I kept forgetting the rotation.
I'd make a macro that was exactly the same as the move I was using but I added an /echo onto the macro that reminded me what my next move was and how to use it.
E.g /micon "Bootshine"
/ac "Bootshine"
/echo next: twin snakes: flank, +5% damage buff OR true strike: back, damage.
It was basically like building a help text into my abilities to help me remember what came next in the cycle and where to be to best use it.
Note: I'm a gamepad user so hovering over the move with a mouse is a little less practical.

Combo macros are a terrible idea because of Perfect Balance. At least if you can see other uses for the skill than Snap Punch spam at completely random times.
And no mention of Dragon Kick or Demolish?

Macros arent useless, they just arent encouraged for rotation skills. That being said, Monk has great use for macros i.e. Internal Release and B4B, Fists of Fire/Earth, Steel Peak/Shoulder Tackle, Howling Fist/Rockbreaker. Unless you plan on repeating your command lines for your main rotation skills, i wouldnt macro them.
Have you actually tested those macros? At least with the first one, if you spam it, sometimes it randomly does Bootshine even if it could do the others, ruining your combo and potentially dropping your Greased Lightning. By the way, only players who play suboptimally spam a cooldown macro instead of weaving the appropriate one in between skills.
Meanwhile, OP is already celebrating for the success of his blog post.
