    T4 Summoner Stats

Now that I feel comfortable with SMN and finished spending myth for the crit BiS build (still working on zenith), I wanted to start bringing my SMN to coil, but since I finished 1-3 already, my question mainly pertains to T4.

Basically: I want to know how much accuracy is needed for Garuda in T4. With Omnitome and 6 i90 myth pieces I have about 435 without food. Is this too little or should I consider Garuda or Titan jewelry before T4? Should I be using Deviled Eggs in this case or Buttons in a blanket? (HQ of course)

Would also like to ask about Soldiers and Knights. Will putting my DoTs on the soldier and using bane cause the magic reflect the Knight has to activate and essentially screw me over?

I'm not 100% sure what the acc cap is for Garuda-Egi in T4 because I have always aimed to have the correct acc for T5. In T5, Garuda-Egi's acc cap is around 450~ while your own is around 435~. Don't forget that food does not affect your pet (unless that has been changed -- but I doubt it).

It is safe to put your DoTs on Soldiers and then Bane onto Knights (and this is what you SHOULD be doing). However, you should never cast DoTs directly on the Knights. I believe you will take an initial hit of damage when you Bane (onto the Knight), but after that you will not take recurring damage. I haven't paid too much attention to the battle log, but I do notice myself take a decent chunk of damage when Bane goes off, and not after that. This shouldn't be too big a deal as you don't really take damage from anything else at that point.

I'm trying to get the account cap needed for T5 but with the way it looks, I'll need Allagan pants and boots, then the Ex earring and ring and that would let me freely switch to Zenith since I shouldn't need the acc boost from the Omnitome. But of course it's a chore getting what you need if you lose out to need roles.

Thanks for mentioning food not working on Egis though. Guess it's safe to assume I'll be using Buttons then.

I do t4 with my alt smn and use buttons. If it really comes down to your accuracy not being up to par something is wrong with your team, with 435 I get by just fine. Yes using bane will reflect dmg to you, no it will not screw you over. I bane on all of them, you take rougly 1200 dmg which a sch fairy will heal you anyway or a regen so not a big deal. I would get the garuda ring and titan earrings anyway since BiS but it will not prevent you from doing t4.

Attempted to try T4 last night but couldn't clear because the healers were struggling.
Now I have to ask about Aetherflow. Since it's on a 60 second cool down, then naturally I should have new stacks at the beginning or soon after each phase. But my question is how should I be using them?
Phase 1 I used it for 2 Banes and the energy skill, phase 2 I used it for Bane, Fester on the same mob then Bane on the other soldier ( followed by Ruin spamming and refreshing dots) and in Phase 3 I used up all 3 before the dread was half health. Is there anything that sounds like it should be adjusted?

Try not to blow aether on energy drains if you were doing that. Unless you need MP, or are in a super short burn period there's not much reason to. Just focus on Fester and bane with them. As for when to use them or how, that's just up to each fight and your playstyle mixed with your group. I could say what I do in each fight, but that doesnt mean it would help you out.

I will say you can get 2 festers off during raging strikes if you weren't already

P1 I use 2 banes and 1 ED,(ED cause I have 3 stacks +aetherflow ready to be cast, so I get it on CD and have 3 stacks for P2.
P2, I don't bane. Just cause we can kill knight+soldiers in time without it, so I just fester 2 times and do 1 ED (because I have aetherflow ready at around when 1st soldier is down cause of the use of Aetherflow during 1st phase).
P3 I fester 2 times with RS and then 1 more fester, then at around 20-30% left on dread, I get new stacks, I use 1 of those to fester or ED, depending on how much I have MP.
In P4 I DoT and bane on bugs Shadowflare and then spamm blizzara II (we get all the buggs killed that way)
Then I just spend all 3 stacks on festers (3 on each phase)

The party we have: War, Pld, Whm, Sch, Blm, Mnk, Brd, Smn(me)

But I'm not saying that thats the best way to use stacks, but thats what works with our party. Just go with trial and error, try different things on each try, until you feel like you've found what works for you and your party.

People need to remember that a healer's job isn't to heal HP
but rather to prevent HP from reaching 0
