Whats this weird click queueing feature sense 2.1? Is it broken?

I've looked around and haven't seen anything talking about this. I read through the patch notes, and couldn't find a answer for this. I noticed right around 2.1 or maybe a patch later, that when you are mining/gathering you now have sort of a way to queue your mining when your clicking on the item you want. This wasn't there before 2.1. If you click before you hit, sometimes if you click twice, or something. Or rather if you click once or twice in between hits, it will sometimes queue up your next hit, making it hit automatically at the next opportunity. This is kind of like on a DoW/DoM, where if you click on a ability a second or 2 before the cool down is up, it will do that move for you as soon as it is ready. This seems like a really awesome feature, to help you make sure your mining as fast as possible, however it seems to be broken, unless I'm doing it wrong somehow. I know if people have turbo controllers it doesn't matter either way. But was just trying to figure this out.

This oddity really threw me off at first, but eventually I got used to it and realized it's actually a good thing. Being able to queue up swings means that you can maximize your swings-per-minute. Under the old system, there was always SOME kind of delay, but by queueing up swings you can start the next as soon as the previous finishes.

It does mean you need to watch out in situations when you don't want an extra swing, such as when you want to pop Deep Vigor or Brunt Force just before the final swing. Once I realized what was happening, though, I was able to gather more carefully to prevent overswinging.

I'm pretty sure this was introduced in patch 2.1

Sadly for me, while this works really well on my PC, on my PS3 it's really more of a hindrance since most of the times it doesn't work and I'm forced to click twice.

I'm not really sure exactly how it works. For a bit it seems like I figured it out, and i click before my next hit, and it queues properly, other times, it doesn't work. So It leads me to believe that it is a new feature that is possibly bugged, but I didn't really want to create a bug report unless other people seemed to have that kind of difficulty.

Yeah, I'm not really sure exactly how it's supposed to work, either. The way that the background of the targeted harvest flashes back and forth with each click doesn't really intuitively display whether you've queued up another swing or not. It'd be better, I think, if it just changed once (indicating that you've queued a swing), and become unable to change again until you're in the middle of that new swing.

That said, the system is workable. If I just want to harvest quickly, I mash the button. If I want to be careful, I pause between each swing to make sure that I initiate only one additional swing.
