Hello I am Xaldarian. So far I'm a Lvl. 30 Gladiator. I have no friends and love to ropleplay so if anyone wants to befriend me Ill be online ^^ and im fairly getting into the game so hints and help is very much appreciated. Thank you

Unfortunately I'm on a different server to you otherwise I'd friend you and invite you to my linkshell and Free Company, but the next best thing is you could look on the Famfrit section of the Server forums as people are always offering invites in that section. As for hints, you might already be aware of this, but as you are now level 30 Gladiator ('GLA' for short), you can get your Job upgrade for GLA (Paladin, or 'PLD' for short) which improves on GLA considerably and makes tanking in parties a lot easier to do (it boosts your stats for one thing and grants you access to unique abilities you can't use on GLA normally). To unlock PLD you need to have completed all the GLA class quests from the GLA Guild as well as level Conjurer (CNJ) separately to level 15, and then speak to the Guild Receptionist who wills end you to speak to Jenlyns, a npc on the Hustings Strip in Ul'dah. He'll give you the first PLD Job quest 'Paladin's Pledge', completing it will gain you the PLD Job crystal and your first Job ability 'Sword Oath'.
