Coming back after 4 months of absence!

First of all:
I was surprised that at least Ul'dah was far from being a ghost town on my server, and some improvements really got me hooked. Suddenly I realized the markers on my map: oh joy! REAL quests after all!

So, nothing better for a fresh start than starting on a fresh job, I told myself, and decided on lancer as my next profession!

...

2 hours later, I remembered why I had left in the first place. I was standing in a market ward in Ul'dah. The low level gear I was searching for was spread out among many retainers in many different wards, and after an hour of shopping (!) I thought: Screw it. I'll simply take some old used equipment from my retainer and be done. So I summoned my retainer. Or better: tried to. The little bastard actually had the guts to refuse to appear.

"ERROR ERROR. This ward is full, you cannot summon your retainer here. And we DON'T CARE whether you simply want to fetch some equipment or sell some marmot meat in the crystal ward."

Great. Then again, i tried to summon it in the battlecraft ward. My fault. So I went to the crystal ward.

"ERROR ERROR..."

Same as before. Ok, crystals are just as commonly sold. So maybe in the metal ward.

"ERROR ERROR..."

Wood ward?

"ERROR ERROR..."

Stone ward?

"ERROR ERROR".

Finally, I teleported to Limsa Lominsa and summoned my retainer there. Just to realize that the stuff I was looking for was actually on my second retainer. In Gridania. As were the leather spetches I needed to repair my boots.

I am sooooo happy they are adding really interesting stuff (job system, auto attack and dungeons, to name just a few). But at it's core, this game is still so horribly inconvenient and convoluted, that new players will rip out their hair before even setting a foot out of their starting town!
