PS3 to PS4

So ill be geting my ps4 soon i'm going to buy the ps4 ver since id rather play on both {just in case my ps4 dies you never know} what i wanna know if anyone can help is A do i need to buy the collectors edition i all ready own that ver on ps3 and B when i do buy my copy do i just sign in? and i'm good to go? and C will i need to pay SE more? thank you

I read somewhere that you can upgrade your license to ps4 for free, but once you upgrade you can't keep the ps3 license.
So you would need to buy one or the other if you want to continue playing on both consoles.
