PS3 Final Fantasy 14 Version Disconnect Issues.

I've found game updates on the PS3 a bit iffy in general. It's not uncommon for people to have to delete a download and retry several times--especially with the larger ones. I always chalked it up to something going on with the link to Sony during the process--who knows. So, it could simply be something going on in your specific region that is causing instability with the route the PS3 is taking (it follows a slightly different routine than the PC with it's security and such). May have to try a direct connect to your modem with the shortest/fastest cable you have (want Cat5e or higher for the better shielding) and simply keep trying. I had to download Left Behind 4 times last month before it finally got a good pull---5GB downloads each time, plus the time to attempt to install it, only to have it fail about half way through. Didn't stress over it though. How it goes sometimes with the PS3... nothing new.

Oops... had too many threads open at once... thought this was a thread about issues updating the game. But, some of it still applies. The Sony console versions of games have always worked a little differently than the PC ones, so there could very well be a connectivity issue that is specific to the PS3 process that may not be in play because you are testing against a different platform.
