    Dancer Job

This particular job is seriously crazy, if the wiki that describes this is anything to go by.

But, if it was announced that it was planned to be added to the game at some point - would YOU want to play that class?

When you answer, consider the following facets of all classes - solo, light parties and full parties. Could you see yourself signing up via quest to obtain the Dancer job, leveling it to 50 AND play as that job in all manner of group content?

EDIT - I will quote the wiki that describes this particularly odd job:
    http://finalfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Dancer_%28Job%29
Dancers are often characterized as female, and wearing revealing attire. Dancers have been present as non-player characters in several early Final Fantasy games, and are usually shown in pubs. Dancers most often equip daggers, such as the Dancing Dagger, which is usually associated with the Dancer class. Their ability, Dance, performs one of several actions chosen at random, and their stats are some of the lowest of all classes. Some Dancers are capable of White Magic.

    http://finalfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/D..._Fantasy_XI%29
Dancers are capable healers in Final Fantasy XI. While it may not be wise for them to be the main healer of a group until level 74, two functioning together can, in most cases, eliminate the need for an MP based healer. Also, Dancer is one of the only jobs offering the Dual Wield trait, which it gains at level 20. The other jobs are Ninja at 10, Thief at 83 and Blue Mage, with the proper spells set, at 80.

I don't think dancers will ever make it into ffxiv unless they find an equivalent for a male only gender locked job.

Dancers in FFXI could be male and female. =l They did a pretty great job with the AF gender differences considering too. The Black AF3 was balling.

Why wouldn't men be able to be Dancers? They existed in FF5, FF11, and FFD and other games.

I can see them using a whip or something and focus mainly on healing and support.

Probably because of FF Tactics where DNCs were indeed a female-only Job (BRD was the male equivalent). But all other FF games that have the Job have depicted the Job as being available to both guys and girls equally - only FFT had this gender discrimination for some weird reason.

I'm confused by this post, are you suggesting that males cannot be dancers? >.>

Why? Have you seen Bards? They didnt bother with a gender equivalent class there. In fact, they even left the gear design the same, down to the stiletto shoes.

In 11 males and females could be dancers. And once you got passed the flamboyant attire it was a very fun job to play. I could see it being a pretty fun support/dps class if done right.
