if you run out of mp it is largely due to fail party members.
whm can pre-cure through 'debuffs' (is that a thing?)
enmity is a dance you do with your tank. if you try to lead, u die.. if your tank fails to lead you die. its synergy. not anything else.

    good sch can group heal.
and can proc eos to HoT when needed

beyond your ideas you take as fact, the good thing is that healing's second stat is non-important so it matters little.

PIE is pretty nice to have in titan/ifrit. It's the difference between poking your brd and letting him/her run free.

And for ifrit, Pie is godly since you're going to be basically sitting on full mp until big nail phase, where you might blow your whole bar, spamming it dry none stop.

Once you get to a certain ilvl, you have just enough MP to make it through the fight without a single ballad (assuming pt is good).

Spell speed is probably the way to go, but neither whm nor sch can stack enough of it with current crop of gears (no one crafts anymore in 2.1) to make it worthwhile.

Mnd for both sch and whm is good. Once you reach a point, you can spam phys/cure1 in constant spam to brute force MP/burst damage situations.

Crit is really bad for a whm, and flexible for a sch. crit is nice for sch not as much for aqu, but but for Succor. 6-8member at least 1-3 will crit normally. That's a really dependable shield since succor is a sch's main arsenal for phases and the like. And you have a lot of those in 2.1 fights

I would put VIT ->MND -> Pie for either healer. You just simply can't go wrong with it.

As a healer you always seem to want more VIT. There are so many brutal points that magically becomes more forgiving the moment you have enough vit to brute force it. (aka shitty bombs in titan ex, and stupid spam from ifrit ex)

    1. SoS, Aetherflow, Energy Drain management are key to 'good' & 'high-level' play. Being dependant on BRD is a failing on the healer's part. If you need to rely on BRD and other players pumping out enough DPS to end the fight before you run dry, you're doing it wrong. Piety alleviates an issues 'SOME PLAYERS HAVE'. "I've never run out of mana as a WHM" - Said no one ever.

    2. Twitania Phase 2 Death Sentence debuff cannot be dispelled and puts tank dangerously low following if unprepared. WHM has no % cure (Except Benediction) that works through debuff. SCH Lustrate heals 25%. %hp Cure is an issue for WHM.

    3. You're not wrong! However, SCH has an easier time managing their own enmity through split healing with Eos. In my original post, I said the remedy was 'play better'. Read my post properly before you call me out.

    4. Good thing this is a legitimate and relevant thread about secondary stats, thanks for copy-pasting generic 'boring thread' response.

    5. Yes, yes they can. However, novice SCH may have issues with it. Uncoordinated groups spread out will miss Whispering Dawns and Succors.

You obviously don't play WHM/SCH enough.

Technically you can time a cure to hit after the damage but before the debuff effect kicks in (Divine Seal + Cure II is particularly potent here). You can also apply regen before the debuff.

And in emergencies, there's always Stoneskin (albeit 18% to Lustrate's 25%)...

Aye, Focus Target and pre-curing is how I handle it, when we had 2x WHM one evening it was a rush sometimes trying to catch up if we mistimed it.

    1 Stoneskins, 1 Pre-cures!

If healers do mistime it, SCH % healing is there to save the day.
Rather than frantic mana consuming DS+Cure II's.

I somewhat disagree, in that while PIE can't be stacked enough to make a huge difference, as a healer you can never have enough MP pool for brutal phases. Sure you may or may not need it, but it sure as heck is easier when you have a larger MP pool to brute force things, that make that 10% chance of problem into 5% chance of problems.

It is doublely so for sch, since sch rarely accumulate threat like whms, so they can abuse that and succor spam through parts, that otherwise don't need succor spam, but can do some great things.

Primal EX for example, succor spam in parts is great. It may not be needed, but it is quite convenient and if you have a good MP pool, it's really can be a deciding factor if your party is just not that pro/attentive/experienced.

A good example is Titan ex, add phase. If both healers, tanks and dps are all doing what they are doing, Only 1 succor is needed for that weak double stomp. But If you spam succor through it, even if the other healer isn't as good, if the MT isn't dodging cross bombs, if Melees aren't doing moving right. That succor spam will prevent a death, and possibly a wipe. Sure it may eat up half/2-3rd of your MP pool for a small phase, but it's Titan ex, that's worth it.

Same with Vit. A key number is around 4.2k life or higher. A lot of things can be brute forced. I rather sit more comfortable at 4.4k+ if I can. Can derp on a a lot of things and just heal through it as oppose to being razor edge do-die.

end game has a lot less to do with healing power and more to do with healing bursts, Det and crit just doesn't make so much difference as trying to eliminate derping moments IMHO.

Healing a few more is nice, but spamming more then I need, raising more then I need, and getting hit more then I need, just feels a lot cleaner.
