Level both tank classes?

Ever since 2.1 they buff enmity in tank stand on both PLD and WAR. now a day, by the time i do 3rd RoH combo i would be wayyy ahead of other dps, atleast twice aggro they had. the only class that can steal your aggro is healer (espcially WHM with medica spam ...><) or you really under gear compare to DPS in your party. plus, FF ARR fight is heavy script that make it even more easier for PLD to stun/ inturrupt stuff. if all else fail u have sprit within that of GCD.

I have both tank classes in the mid-20s right now and want to level one to round out my goal of having all roles at level 50 (mDPS, rDPS, Heal, Tank). Should I have a decent idea how the classes will play by level 30?

Probably not. A lot of the better core abilities (Inner Beast, Infuriate, Storm's Path & Storm's Eye, Sentinel, Hallowed Ground, etc) are at higher level. I would level both to 50. Since tank queues are so short, you can level them both in dungeons and be pretty quick about it.

pld is frusturating 30-39 since u only get sword oath(30), cover(35) but if u can hold all mobs in this lv range when u ding 40 and get shield oath it will be 10x easier
war is a lot easier in this range, u get defiance(30) for enmity/healing boost, inner beast(35), and can still overpower all the things

I had quit GLA at 22 but decided to try it again at least to 26. RoH made it way more fun. I'll take both to 30 at least. If Butchers Block as just as fun, I'll likely stick with WAR for the sexier AF. Since I already have a 50 monk, it would be nice to use Mantra.

Butcher's Block (at that lvl) makes the female Roegadyn weak in the knees.

It's always been my opinion to level both just on the basis of knowing how the other tank operates. There are a couple scenarios where either tank shines and knowing those, even if you main only one tank, can lead you to better decisions in endgame content.

I love my PLD to death, but this right here is why I leveled WAR to 50 as well. Understanding other jobs' toolkits will only benefit you as a player, and what better way to learn than to go through the motions yourself?

I leveled both cause they both shine in different areas. PLD for extended periods of sustained higher damage and WAR for repeated predictable spike hit fights.
