Add PvP Danage/Healing Scoreboard to PvE Bosses

Pretty straight forward, using the same software and programming they have clearly already made to track and display damage and healing statistics in PvP, just have this scoreboard display after PvE boss attempts and kills. This eliminates the need for parsers and should be very accurate while allowing people to see in concrete terms their performance. Will allow people to see themselves improve over time and evaluate how they compare to others.

Additional categories for damage recieved and threat generated would be nice, but nonessential.

Yeah this would be cool. However I can see this being annoying because people would do an attempt, see one or two people with less then ideal DPS and break groups up I'm sure. I think it would be a nice thing for higher caliber players and annoying for less experienced players who already have a tough time it seems.

We already see this happening via watching the threat meter. I really doubt it'll make more groups fail. If anything, if in a first run someone is low and sees it, might motivate them to step up.

If they can't hack it, well they don't deserve to be carried by people who don't know them. Of course friend/fc groups may choose to continue and carry the weakerembers anyway.

Eh, I blow Quelling Strikes at the start of any trial fight and at any point where I have to attack a new threat target. While I usually don't need it, sometimes the tank just doesn't seem to ramp up fast enough and I end up with Garuda in my face a couple of spells into the pull. However, I usually glance at the threat meters when I get a short break in the fight (for example, at the first jump on EX) and realize that I'm down around 5th or 6th on the list, start wondering what I'm doing wrong, then abruptly realize "oh, right, Quelling Strikes".

In short, threat meters are not necessarily a reliable indicator of DPS.

Better to be numbers than anchors.

as much as I would like this, please only have it as an option the party leader can set before entering an instance. I also do not want to see it in Duty Roulette either.

The reason I want it to be an option, some people might take offense to being compared to others in "farm" runs. Also certain classes excel over other classes in certain instances. These reasons can lead to poor play just to top the dmg chart. I hate it when people eat avoidable dmg just so they could squeeze in some extra damage.

Wait, if as a BLM, I know I can pop manaward, eat a plume, and get a bit more damage in, why shouldn't I? Not saying it's always the best choice, but calculated risks are a part of every fight. Sometimes I pay for my risks, but more often the boss does.

I'm not talking about manaward when it comes to eating avoidable damage. The reason? if you pop manaward, then you successfully avoided damage. This situation is not a calculated risk, if you know the outcome is safe.

A good example of what I am talking about is, "player X" starts casting a spell, then right as the player cast bar starts, "monster Y" places a telegraph under player X. Instead of Player X moving out of said telegraph, they instead wait for their spell to finish casting so they can PAD their DPS chart. Monster Y's telegraph finishes, and player X takes avoidable damage.

Because Player X took avoidable dmg, then the healer of the party has to heal (or raise) player X, taking potential healing power away from the party tank. Small things like this can snow ball into bigger problems later on in the fight.

Now lets take it 1 step further, lets pretend player X topped the dmg charts with his/her bad habits. This then promotes bad play. Player X begins to brag, and "Player Z" starts to mimic player X's play style. Player Z gets targeted by a tail whip, but instead of dodging said tail whip, he/she stays behind the monster, waiting for GCD to finish so they can use their rear attack. Now 2 players in the party are taking unnecessary dmg, making a healers job much more harder. Now lets say all 4 DPS players are doing this... hope you get the picture that I am trying to paint.

Now do not get me wrong, I would love to see some type of damage score board, but I would like it to be the leaders prerogative to implement said feature in the run. And I definitely do not want to see it in duty finder.

As a healer I would like an ingame parser.

I have no idea what's going on with the threat meter (unless I'm having threat trouble on a particualr encounter) since I target the tank and use <tt> macros.
I would like to see healing and overhealing to gain insight on my mana use.
I would like to see some way of tracking damage taken by source... so I can show a DPS who stands in plumes why I'm having a hard time keeping him alive. I would probably look pretty bad on this meter, which might motivate me to get better
