    Spell Effects/Animations change

    Ok so i have been seeing a lot of people wanting major changes but what about some minor? More specifically I'm talking about the spell effects. Now if i missed some dev talk stating they were placeholders i apologize. Just wondering how come all other ff games(even ffxi) had such better effects then this gorgeous looking game. For example compare FFXI stoneskin to FFXIV stoneskin... I'm not saying just copy and paste the effects to this game but if at sometime(no rush at all cause other changes/additions needed first) can the team actually put some wow/epic into the effects?

    I totally understand what your saying here. I have also noticed that with WS and magic in general, the effects aren't as epic. When I cast Burst I want to feel the electricity!!

    Agreed. We need better spell/ability effects in this game. SE can definitely do it, visuals are one of the things they've become known for. And they are clearly aware of the issue, and it was mentioned in the last player's poll. I understand that battle system adjustments take priority, but I truly hope the dev team won't forget about this issue.

    yeah they could use a little more polish, especially when those giant gnats have those awesome lightning abilities.

    The majority of attack animations in the game are quite lacklustre, especially the CON ancient magic spells (Flare, Freeze, etc.). These could be significantly improved on.

    I always liked Mage jobs because of the cool buff effects or the nice explosions etc. 14 is leaving a lot to be desired...

    Agreed, Animations are very poor in this game, both magic and weapon skills. Expected much more for something new-gen like FFXIV, almost all old console rpg's beat these animations by far. FF7-FF13, and other series. Huge improvement can be done in this department.

    Alot of them are duplicates in many ways, need some unique cool visuals and sounds for each ability.
    Weapon-skills are really an eyesore.
    Also AoE magic would look much nicer if it bursted out as one big spell covering it's area of effect instead of a single spell on each mob.

    I would like to see the animation dynamic according to the success of the spell. A Critical limitbreaking Fire III animation should be more elaborate than the partially resisted Fire III.
