PC to ps4

I got a glimpse of ffxiv on the beta for my ps4 but sadly phase one has ended. To make up for the time between now and it's release I want to purchase it for my computer . Will I be able to play with the same character on my ps4 when I buy it at launch? Is the game cross platform?

In order to play on both platforms, you'd have to purchase it twice, but then yes, you can play the same characters from either platform. (Just be sure when activating the second platform that you select your current service account and not set up another one.)

you could also play on ps3 as they announced something about upgrading to ps4 for free. i would try to find details first though in case it was a limited time or beta only type deal.

It is limited, but until December of this year, so lots of time left. This applies to anyone who has bought the ps3 version before December.
