2.2 is almost here, I can smell it & taste it! OMG NEW COILZ NEW WAYS TO BASH HEAD AGAINST THE WALL!!!

I'm excited and I'm sure many of you are excited for it .

There is just few matters I think SE should address if you guys do agree with me in regards to drops. At the moment T1-T5 drops for each job is different. For example you can get BLM chest from T2 while you get Monk chest from T5. Then there is the other matter of Bards having many drops in T5.

Wouldn't it be fair to have the same type of drops (head,body, etc) drop in the same turn for all jobs?

I think it would promote fairness as we have no idea how long it would take for FFXIV community to clear T8-T9 (I expect T6-T7 to be cleared within the first week, my prediction).

I understand this might have a negative side effect such as having the weapon and chest drop from T9 for example, which would mean no job will have their two most valuable items until T9 is cleared. I actually don't mind, at least no job is getting screwed by being the only job or two locked behind T9.

TL;DR

I believe SE should promote equal opportunity in T6+ for all jobs. Pants for example should drop from the same turn for all jobs instead of having MNK pants in T8 while PLD pants is in T6. However, this method should exclude special drops such as PLD shield to avoid stacking too many items for one job in T8-9.

That would make some people skip Turns.... i personally would go because i get gears for all of my classes equally. But some might not, they would focus on one class and they would have no reason for that Turn anymore after they have obtained their gears.

Having Multiple gear drops will promote more people attempting it.

Coil T6+ are going to be locked, you can't do T8 without clearing T6+7. As for players saying, lel ihaz legs won't do T7 will do T8 only, then you seriously need to replace them in your static.

So in reality there is no way to skip turns .

Well, not everyone does Static :P!

People might skip it like the skip T3, just jump into T4. Might cause influx on jobs lacking etc... but thats another theorization.

Yeah your objection is not based on something that I have ever experienced or seen. Even when I did Coil with randoms, no one in their right mind would say "ok you guys clear T1-3 then inv me for 4" Just because they don't want to do T1+. It is absolutely stupid of them.

I don't understand this logic.. Even assuming that the system will stay the same, regardless of the order that the items drop per turn, that makes absolutely no difference in terms of people skipping turns once they get all the gear they want from that turn. People would have the exact same motivation to skip a turn once they get all the gear from it regardless of what items the turn drops since there are still specific items dropped in each turn..

And you can probably skip turns just like you can in 1-5. Dont know why someone would under normal circumstances, but still.
