"Unbelievable wipes... indescribable failings. Whining, bitching, rage quitting - through an endless party find." - Doho, A Whole New Whorl
The more I think about it, that's not a bad idea.
Although, what I'd rather see: A couple of fun, silly dungeons where you and 3 other players actually play as your chocobos in some way.
I've got Rank 6 healing chocobo and wasted points in 2 skills of tank<want to reset this and not the rank this really needs to happen.
I've used a Rank 5 chocobo healing stance during a svara and it kept a WAR alive with no other healers i ended up dieing from web that i'm sure i avoided!
We need a setting to auto use Aetheryte Tickets ~ An amount set by the players like set to 500 Gil if a teleport cost over that amount it will auto-use a ticket!
I took the liberty of doing my best to translate this and posted it on the Japanese forums to see if they would be interested as well.
Chocobo Dungeons, Chocobo Leves , and Chocobo Roulette. make it so.
They were supposed to eventually make it to where you could have two people and two chocobos be able to go into light party duties but they haven't said anything about this since beta. As mentioned above, the content would have to be somewhat trivial as the pet AI isn't all that great. When they make the AI respond to area attacks and actually forces the pet to move out of them, then I'd be impressed.
Can we give medals for jawsome ideas? For a lot of players there really isn't any in-battle benefit to leveling your chocobo. The new chocobo suit is definitely a step in the right direction (even though we're missing a mask to complete the set at the moment). However, I personally feel the attack/healing/tank power of our chocobo companions needs a buff. There seems to be no difference between having your chocobo summoned to battle or not. That said, I'd like to get to the main idea...
"Chocobo" Dungeons
In short, it would be a "solo" dungeon where you and your chocobo fight through the dungeon to obtain gear. (The gear can be chocobo-themed as well - Chocobo armor, accessories, weapons, etc.) It also opens the possibility of going into group dungeons with friends and their fighting fowls as well.
Additionally, I'd appreciate the ability to either reset your chocobo skill tree - or ability to master all chocobo skill trees implemented.
Oh man that would be so cool if my Chocobo, Max, was able to run out of AOE attacks! The AI for the companions is already pretty good, but if they could avoid AOEs like 60% of the time... that would be FANTASTIC! It would make them function way more like a real party member.
Of course, we could argue that some real party memebers just stand there in the attack area and take damage anyway!![]()
My biggest issue with the AI is that the bird always seems to want to stand in front of the monster while fighting it or healing. So yeah, if this were implemented, I'd love to see some adjustments to the ai. Other than that, this is a great idea.

I am absolutely in favor for this!!! Excellent idea and doing stuff with chocobo outside of the regular duties would increase playtime for many choco lovers![]()
