And in another separate Japanese interview, it is also confirmed that myth tomes weekly cap will also be unlocked. Basically all i90 related content will relegate to Darklight status because they will raise the new item level cap with new set of BC loots, Leviathan weapon and new tomestones.

Not likely, as much as you like to read into it. Every single pre-90 dungeon would be fully obsoleted for all purposes except LotA. They would completely destroy all uses of WP, PS, CBHM, and HMHM -- all of them would never be run at all for any reason. AK and HM primals would be run-once for relic quests. Gearing in i90 would take a weekend, and all content in between would be rot.

I can't think of any dungeon gear that I would want for vanity outside coil/ct >.>; a good majority of it looks pretty lame :"/

Fresh 50 to BCT1-5 progression. As soon as you hit 50, you hop into CT, then a Saturday later, you're ready for BC.

Or, you gear yourself in DL gear, and jump straight into farming T1 (and T2 if lolenrage is still around)for allagan / myth. By the time you have good enough gear you can jump straight to T4/T5 which means you have complete circumvented any reason into stepping into the hell that is currently LotA.

Farming the tomes for Darklight takes much longer than gearing in superior and quicker CT gear and filling out the holes with the tomes you got from CT. I get that you hate CT and all, but it just doesn't make sense do something that gives you just tomes when you could do something that gives you tomes and free superior gear.

Except they haven't said anything about removing the lockout on LotA yet (and if they have, I completely missed it). Meaning sure, you can still get 1 free piece a week, but honestly it's still quicker to just pass up LotA entirely.

Also, why bother even running coil/ct to gear up. You can just buy crafted i90 come 2.2 w/o having to run a single dungeon XD
