Why not unlock myth and BC now?

TBH this is the problem with announcing the removal of caps and lock-outs at all, it just makes the stagnation before the patch even more acute as people see little point to cap out every week and then threads like this are made.

It would be nice to be able to spam Coil 1-5 and myth over the next couple weeks to get various alt jobs up to i90 as something to do before 2.2 hits. Once 2.2 hits, there will be much more content than Coil 1-5 and Myth, so it won't matter. Currently there's nothing to do, and post patch there will be plenty to do regardless of it they'd uncapped myth in 2.16.

Why not just echo buff all the content, give everyone 50 in all classes and crafts, go ahead and just award everyone all achievements, give you 10 retainers, put 5 million gil in everyones pocket, and award every FC a full furnished house just for being an FC while we are at it.

i can see and agree with what the OP is saying.

it wouldnt damage the current state of the game to unlock myths, as the gear will be inferior in 30 days. why not let us get a head start on gearing up our ALT's that arent yet geared. personally i just started working on my 5th full I90 class, and all classes are Ilevel80+.... really wouldnt hurt anything to unlock at this point.

Clearly at this point they are pushing all possible content (new and old) to end of March, closer to ESO's official release. So that you are more likely to play here than play there.

Wanting to do Coil more than once a week, since there's nothing else left to do pre-2.2, is totally exactly like that. Perfect analogy.

I understand why they didn't unlock myth/coil before 2.2, what I don't understand is why they left the loot lockout on CT and didn't remove that in 2.16. Once 2.2 is released, no one is going to touch Labyrinth anymore anyways. And it would have given people something to do before the update while keeping i90 gear locked until 2.2.

Oh well, another nonsensical decision by SE keeping i80 gear locked when i90 will be unlocked in less than a month.
