RMT auto suspspension idea

Make it to be an option available ONLY from your chat log when you click the name of the RMT that /tell spammed you.

That whay you don't flag random innocent people... unless it is someone sending lots of tells to different people and for some reason they all decided to report as spam.

Also, don't insta ban. Make it so that the spammer loses all chat privileges except /say until is checked by a GM.

Oh, and the reports must be in a short time frame... like an hour or so. Like, lets say 200 reports within 1 hour. That way if there is a very annoying but legit player who gets flagged for spam every now and then, won't get muted by cummulative reports throughout his continuous years of playing and annoying people. (Dunno if that sentece made sense).

We been talking on vent and I thought of this crazy idea...

What if you make a script that if say 400 people blacklist an individual they get a 3 day ban pending investigation. This is just a generic number so that its not abused. It could be 700-100 so that some FC just dont get pissed at someone who left and decide to be spiteful... Just an idea to cut down on the tells we see regularly.

Doesn't matter anyways, RMT delete their char within an hour after spamming.

the more you report the more come back when i first moved to my server there was hardly any it was nice and peaceful in the last 2 or so weeks it has just exploded I've blisted over 80 yet SE little rmt spat every maintenance doesn't seem to be working to well. its never going to stop i look at it as if 1 person just 1 buys $30 worth of gill theres 2 months of spamming the tells with different affjss asjdjd names.. I'm all for the idea of certain amount for tells per min or whatever might help alleviate the issue

Make it so blacklisting someone would blacklist the account (all characters created for it).

I guess they do delete their characters every hour but do they make new accounts every hour? If anything it would slow down the spam I suppose...

More intelligently.... They could automatically suspend someone for sending 50+ tells to different people in under a minute. Unless you're a gold selling bot, there is no reason you would ever do something like that. Mass tell spam should get you an pretty instant suspension on the account.

An FC leader may send tells to his 50+ members if he wanted to announce something privately to those members only...

I wish this was resolved somehow. Right click, blacklist is a quick fix but it doesn't solve the problem in the long run. Also, the reporting process is too involved to go into while I'm in the middle of crafting, gathering, or questing.

SE should just investigate heavily blacklisted players... actually; they probably already do.

Or they could set up system to flag words that are commonly used in those RMTs. Most Tells I get from Gil sellers have the word "Gil" in it and even "coupon". If you flag certain words you can narrow down who is doing what and using that data you can further locate accounts that are doing this. That system could be setup to help GMs quickly locate Gil sellers even if they are only shouting stuff on a character for an hour and then delete it and make a new one.

Actually, SE should look specifically at my black list. Every single one was an RMT tell or shout.
