Missing Materias.. Materia could not be found gear set bug

Now first, let me start this off with NO it is not working normal and just needs reassigned. My materia is litterally all missing from my gear, I don't have doubles that it could be trying to reassign.

I just got back in game from a few months off, but I had all my IL 55 HQ crafters wearing good materia when I left. Now the only one that even has materia is my weaver and it's only half of it. I don't even want to use any of my gear sets now because I fear it will destroy more of my materia.

This is some BS , I see others did have same issue but instead of being adressed.. they were told nothing changed just reasign.. well i did and I have no materia on my gears -_-

Well I had same issue, however it says it can't reassign materia but I added up the stats and it is on mine. However, I'm not resetting 22 jobs, and it is annoying. Did you add up your stats?

was hoping that was the case.. but nope, stats don't add up either

Guess I will be cranking out a bunch of items for the next few days to get new materias

Might not be related, but my gear sets kept complaining about missing materias.

I never used materia for that gear set

This happened to me first time I fired up after the last patch, noticed the update button was active, meaning my gear had changed, even though it hadn't. Checked the gearset list then saw all my materia was gone. After opening and closing the character menu a few times checking the original gearset they magically reappeared, i still had to hit triangle to update my gearset (on PS3) and it hasn't happened again since.
