Legacy transfer

Now that Legacy transfers are available, I'm trying to do just that and it's not working for me.

Numerous times I have gone over the guidelines ie: Retainer not selling anything, not logged in, etc. When I choose my destination world, then choose the character I want to transfer, it says - this character is available for transfer. But when I hit transfer confirmation, it declines. I know the world isn't full because I tried another character from another world, and that one was fine.

Is the Legacy transfer, in fact, not available? Did I read something wrong? Am I missing something?

Any help would be appreciated.

Maybe nobody has transferred yet? I haven't, and I applied right away with all the requirements met. I'm trying to be patient, but it's taking a long time, and they tell you not to log in before you get notified of your transfer. It's from a full Legacy world to one of the empty new worlds, so that shouldn't be a problem. I thought maybe it would go with the reset, but that's not it either.

Does anybody else have news on Legacy transfers?

I've gone through that checklist a dozen times each time thinking, oh ya, this time I'm going to catch what I missed - no luck.

Isobel, you say you applied. I'm assuming it confirmed your transfer but it just hasn't taken effect? I can't even get to that point. When I go to confirm, the next screen tells me - You are unable to transfer at this time.

I don't know what else to do. All I want is the gil and items I have on that character. I restarted on a non-legacy server to play with friends. Oh well. =(

I transferred my character from a Legacy to Non-Legacy world and didn't have any problems; I went over the checklist before doing and I was never in a Free Company though I was in a Linkshell which didn't seem to cause any problems.

I did my transfer on March 1st @ 3am EST, just after Legacy transfers opened and expected to have issues but it went surprisingly well and my character was transferred over within a few minutes tops.

If you meet all the requirements I can only assume it either has to do with the World either being full or too many transfers being done at that time.

If you have trouble transfering, did you leave your character in the inn room?

Well, I guess I'll just keep trying every so often. Knowing that someone transferred successfully is encouraging. I know it's not a matter of the world being full because SE doesn't list Cactaur as a restricted world. Also, I tried taking a junk character from another world and it was fine, I just didn't proceed with the payment.
