I've found DRG to be more fun, especially once you get Jump, but you're going to end up leveling a lot of the melee classes for cross class skills, so you'll have plenty of time to play with them all.

But the poster above is correct. If you want to do mass damage, you're already playing the right class. BLM is a really good, explosive damage dealer.
