Also, know that you don't have to roll a new character to play a new class. When you get your current class to Level 15 in the story, you'll get the chance to visit the other starting cities and you simply have to visit the other class guilds and take on their initial quest in order to unlock the additional class. Then you can switch to that class (by changing your equipped weapon) and level it up instead.

The guilds for both Archer/Bard and Lancer/Dragoon are located in Gridania, and the guild for Pugilist/Monk is located in Ul'dah.
