Except, LotA was designed to be accessible for people in ilvl 50 gear. Being ilvl 50 doesn't necessarily mean you're spiritbonding or what not. What about players who just hit lvl 50? If such a system were to be implemented, what you'd see is alliances checking out all their party members gear before the run even starts and then kicking those that can't help them finish first in DPS races. It'd make the content completely inaccessible for low ilvl players. It's not going to make the dungeon more fun but rather, it'd make it WAY more annoying IMO.


1) I'm entering with crafting accessories and still perform at 100%. I tank Iron Giants flawlessly (which is something many tanks manage to fail to do with full i90) and do all of my Tank-related jobs without any problems. My DPS doesn't suffer much either, because I think a few turns ahead on what I should do. Can you prove any party I'm in will be objective worse than any party you're in just because of my spiritbonding? Are you implying LotA has such a level of gear required that SBing with minimal responsability (as in not going FULL Militia either) should be really frowned upon? Don't make me laugh.1) Players will equip their best gear, but not their spiritbond gear
2) It will make dungeon more fun and interesting
3) Clearing the dungeon will be much faster
4) To achieve best result and to make balanced party for some such challenges players will create full party before using DF
2) Your standards for fun seem to be related to the exact reasons many groups wipe for no reason: potential for bickering.
3) Yes, because we need to break the world record everytime, right? Because a 50 minute run is totally inconceivable, only 44:50 or less are acceptable LotA runs, right?
4) The best result is one where DRG/MNK loot does not appear if no one is looking for them and people do their jobs as an alliance, not as groups fighting. This is a raid, people are meant to work together. If in the future they make a "time attack" thing using parts of LotA (like Atomos) as maps, then they are supposed to work like you suggested.
