    New Chocobo abilities/functions/mechanics

    Since most players know what IS coming in the future, namely breeding, its own barn in your garden, skill reset function and the ability to use it whilst in a DF queue - how about some ideas on what you would want from your Chocobo companion that is NOT in that list?

    We know an expansion is in the works but is quite a ways in the future, lets say it also comes with some new things for Chocobos.

    What would your ideas be for really great new things that have not yet been announced or rumoured to be incoming?

    My personal one - more ranks. So the companion can go to rank 15 or 20 or so. What about yours?

    Lvl cap increase would be nice, but then we would need new moves for em.

    Anyway id like to actually have some sort of "real" treasure map hunting when our chocobo is out. It could work the same way treasure hunting was on FFXIII unless that you re not mounted.

    You could use a new type of greens to let your chocobo seek for spots on the ground containing some mats or random gear ( like current maps ) or if you're lucky, chocobos oriented loot.

    You would have to defend him from various mobs waves while hes digging ( there could be different treasure ranks with highest requiring a longer digging time and stronger mobs ).

    You could get different types of rewards, it could go from Gyhsal greens and chocobo Xp buffs items to unique bardings, job chocobos minions, chocobo themed gear and accessories, that when worn, could affect our chocobo's abilities and stats, affect breeding, chocobo speed, lengthen summon time etc...

    Theres tons of stuff we could imagine.

    To expand on this:
    Defender - more stat increases and Flash ability.
    Attacker - more stat increases and damage increase cooldown.
    Healer - more stat increases and dispelling ability.

    Increase EXP for chocobo!

    And able to use mount chocobo while it's out. But ofcourse, with restriction, you can only use Chocobo mount during that time.

    As in, its out doing damage and right click on it and boom your character mounts it?

    Nope, can only be used out of combat.

    Basically, it's like the same mount mechanics we have now, but it's just that we can still use Chocobo as a mount even if we summon it as a companion.

    I.E

    Battle Scenario

    Player uses Gysahl Greens to summon Chocobo as Companion
    Battle ends > Chobo is still out on the field > Player mounts chocobo to find another target > unmount chocobo > Chocobo still a companion without resummoning it using Gysahl Greens.

    Ah i get it now. So you summon it, then mount it (causing it to disappear) then when you dismount again, it reappears as a companion automatically. The whole time your mounted, your summon timer is paused. As soon as you dismount, it resumes.

    Gotta admit, i did not think of this. Caster Chocobo would definitely be new and unique. Though... i personally find it quite odd that one could heal in the first place, must less ask it to cast spells such as meteor. :/

    Chocobo WHM could rez if your KO'd/ Dragoon one gets the flying Leap and Caster gets Ultima O_o
