You people are the ones crying about a game option, not me, or players like me.
We are enjoying using the option, and if we did not enjoy using it, we simply would not use it, not come crying on the forums.
Well I would happen to agree that asking them to take away an option for short time players is selfish. However, they havn't done so yet, so no need to be upset. And I would have to agree with one of the posters above in his suggestion about how to obtain anima, like the gobbie bag quests. That sounds like a lot of fun to me, granted it can be soloed, meaning I'm not going to have to travel into the deepest levels of Dantes Inferno, dodging baddies on my level 2 conjurer to get sometime, or having to pay a ton of gil for an item to give to someone (kind of like what happened with the gyshals to get chocobos). I am for keeping balance...for those who have little time and those who have an abudance of time.I don't get along with people who want to take away options from others for no other reason then because they want to.
If the fact that we use anima happened to negatively affect their gameplay, I would sympathize with them and try to find a middle ground.
Since it does not, them taking away a very nice option for short gametime players has no grounds other then "if I walk, you walk too" and that is very, very selfish.Balance...like ying and yang

This is a good idea, you could start out with like 0 and do a short and simple quest explaining a tidbit of where it came from (leading you to do the next quest to get more anima and more information behind it) as well as how to use it and finishing the quest gives you like 30 anima to start with! great addition to my idea
I would even compromise that we could take Mordicus' idea and add that from level 1-10 (i'd go even 15 but I don't want you to get mad and yell at me and call me names) you wouldn't be able to teleport at all and then would have a short interesting quest that shows you how the system works and you can teleport after having done the quest.! I'll add that simply starting the game will push you in this direction anyway so you dont have to spend time looking for something you don't know exists.

Somebody who enjoys the game likely isn't going to be on the forums for all hours of the day moaning about peoples ideas. I on the other hand do not currently enjoy the game and am trying to point out where i can see needed improvement as well as how it could be improved.

Hmm yup I stand corrected! It's nice and sad to see that you actually read the other's posts after all.
Nice because then at least you read them.
Sad because even if you read them, you still don't get that most people doesn't want to get rid of the current teleport system but would like to see it modified because it feels like it was put there at the last minute to hide the fact that there was no alternate transportation.
That would be pretty nifty! This is a good idea, you could start out with like 0 and do a short and simple quest explaining a tidbit of where it came from (leading you to do the next quest to get more anima and more information behind it) as well as how to use it and finishing the quest gives you like 30 anima to start with! great addition to my idea! I'm just going to say that as of right now my new target in life is to MAKE SURE that I ruin your entire gaming experience because if I'm going to be blamed for doing something, I might as well be doing it.
