Seriously this argument is a bit irrelevant. There are practically node and aetheryte almost everywhere in the world, It would take a maximum of 5min to run to it. If you don't have 5 minutes to spare while playing an MMO, MMO's aren't for you. Even a casual player can spare 5 minutes to walk somewhere.

If you are in Ul'dah or w/e city, it's not hard to walk to the aetheryte and teleport from there. If you are out in the field doing leves, you most likely are near a node/aetheryte. How hard is it to be next to it to be able to teleport?

If you are out in the field gathering, I am pretty sure you can spend some time walking to the nearest node, which should be about 5min away max, while gathering on your way.

Also, being able to be teleported to any aetheryte by other players even if you yourself never got this node really kills any sense of adventure and exploring if you ask me. Even if the world is boring right now, it will not always be so and this should be removed sooner than later. Get your own nodes yourself (or with a group) before you earn the right to teleport there.
