I don't see how another player that teleports from anywhere is affecting YOUR gameplay?I played ffxi and experienced the waiting that was involved, so teleportation is warranted in that sense.
But from anywhere in the game? In order to truly understand the problem, you have to read mine and others opinion of the matter. For me, it's cons are hard to summarize appropriately. Feels cheap, deteriorates sense of world scale, challenge level... etc....
And if your going to mention running, in-game right now, how far are you actually from an Aetheryte?
There are so many I just don't see the issue/complaining about running to 1.
Someone please explain that bit to me.
I don't see why another player should be restricted from teleporting from anywhere while you CHOOSE to run instead?
You could say the same about most complains in the game but most people will always do what's easiest, even if it isn't what they actually WANT to do.
So, players who have limited game time to play should be restricted to using the majority of their limited gametime for traveling instead of actually playing the game because other players choose to play the game a way they don't want to even though they currently have the option to play the game the way they want to?

I wasn't disagreeing with you, just pointing something out. People complain that they don't like Guild Leves because they're repetitive and boring, some people even asking for them to be removed but they still do them. So, players who have limited game time to play should be restricted to using the majority of their limited gametime for traveling instead of actually playing the game because other players choose to play the game a way they don't want to even though they currently have the option to play the game the way they want to?
People complain about spending all of their time in Thanalan repeating the same leves, but still they won't venture out to Gridania or Limsa Lominsa for a change of scenery.
It comes down to people only wanting to do what is the most efficient way of levelling, whether they enjoy it or not. Then they want the game to be adapted so that the most efficient way of levelling is exactly how they want it to be even if that means placing more restrictions on other players or removing content enjoyed by others.
Players choosing to do something they do not enjoy in the game when they already have an alternative option they WOULD enjoy but choose to NOT use the alternative option is not a valid reason to make sure the majority of my limited game time is used for traveling instead of playing the game.

Seriously this argument is a bit irrelevant. There are practically node and aetheryte almost everywhere in the world, It would take a maximum of 5min to run to it. If you don't have 5 minutes to spare while playing an MMO, MMO's aren't for you. Even a casual player can spare 5 minutes to walk somewhere.Players choosing to do something they do not enjoy in the game when they already have an alternative option they WOULD enjoy but choose to NOT use the alternative option is not a valid reason to make sure the majority of my limited game time is used for traveling instead of playing the game.
If you are in Ul'dah or w/e city, it's not hard to walk to the aetheryte and teleport from there. If you are out in the field doing leves, you most likely are near a node/aetheryte. How hard is it to be next to it to be able to teleport?
If you are out in the field gathering, I am pretty sure you can spend some time walking to the nearest node, which should be about 5min away max, while gathering on your way.
Also, being able to be teleported to any aetheryte by other players even if you yourself never got this node really kills any sense of adventure and exploring if you ask me. Even if the world is boring right now, it will not always be so and this should be removed sooner than later. Get your own nodes yourself (or with a group) before you earn the right to teleport there.

No one said it was hard.
It's pointless to spend limited game time traveling when it could be spent playing the game instead.
Limiting anima further or removing anima will do absolutely nothing but ensure players who have limited game time per game session will be using the majority of their time traveling instead of playing the game.
Go walk, you have the option right now in the game... go... walk.
Stop trying to take the option from others just because you do not want to use the option.
Would you tell your child they can't use the option to bounce a ball when they play with it just because you do not want to use the option to bounce a ball when you play with it?
No.
Options are just that - options.
Do not use anima if you don't want to and leave other players alone who would like to use anima in order to play the game for the majority of their game time instead of travel for the majority of their game time.
