They need to do something. The current system utterly destroys the sense of world scale. I'm still holding onto the hope that once chocobos and airships are implemented, they'll remove the anima/teleport system completely.

Same here, and I hope they do it through a big campaign, as part of the inevitable destruction of Eorzea. ^_^
