[dev10??] Please allow Teleportation only at an Aetheryte

Just because the second post pointed out the irrelevance of your "idea" doesn't mean the concept doesn't restrict player mobility.

Scenario A: I can spend points to teleport to Aetherytes from anywhere in the game.

Scenario B: I can spend points to teleport to Aetherytes ONLY from another Aetheryte. That means if I wanted to get out of the middle of nowhere, I can't do it. I have to first run (on foot because again, there is NO OTHER WAY TO MOVE) to an Aetheryte before I can teleport to another Aetheryte.

Do you understand the concept of a restriction?

First off, we aren't restricted at all, so your point is irrelevant. What would you do if you did have chocobos/airships?
Would you use them or our "restricted" teleportation ability?

In other words, how were we in the first place restricted by being able to go anywhere?

Edit: I understood the restriction part, what I didn't understand was where there was some sort of restriction at in the beginning.

Well with the new changes in Guildleves in the letter today, it seems travel back and fourth between cities is going to increase tenfold.

Therefore we really need speedy transportation, even if it comes from a chocobo license involved in going to all three cities.
Eventually we need airships but I can understand those waiting until Ishgard, but we really need chocobos or quick travel that's not depending on the amount of time you've been choosing not to teleport.

I would agree with the OP IF we actually had chocobos. As of right now, I feel like I spend way too much time power-walking here and there, and not enough time fighting.

I definitely agree with the OP, here is my vote to change the way teleportation works!

I definitely agree with the OP as well, for me it takes away from some of the immersion. I would much rather have a Chocobo to ride back to camp on.
