Topic is a few days old but I want to bring it to light again beacuse it is still a major issue without a better solution.

The system the way it is now really limits the gathering classes. Yes its possible to get to 50 but this system really inconveniences leveling gathering.

Having a system that doesn't allow a class to do what its meant to do after a set amount of times sounds very counterproductive. People would rage if they could only engage 250 monsters in a day, why is this any different?

Yes, there's leveling fatigue but that's on ALL classes and goes on top of gathering fatigue hampering gatherers down even more. (Not to mention this system is being removed, so why shouldn't this one?)

At any rate, if this limiting system remains in the game there should be a way to identify how deep you're in it so gathers aren't losing baits and lures or wasting time.

I don't know how exactly RMT works but here are some possible solutions that could replace the current system:

~Allow gatherers to catch/mine/harvest after the 2500 point rate and give full SP but have the fish escape or harvest collapse. (This allows us to still rank up our gathering classes without risk of losing bait etc.)

~Have monsters pop or have fish plop around that can be killed with a stone throw that hamper RMT bots or something.

~Have a "captcha" pop up that stops you from fishing if not entered or even renews your point value. Could be in the form of a minigame or something so its no apparent its used to battle RMT.

You guys shouldn't be making suggestions as to how they can keep anything gathering-related in place as-is.

There should be absolutely no anti-RMT measures that affect loyal players, whatsoever. If it means the RMTs are more efficient (not that they gather anyway -___-), so be it.

The game was built from the ground up with ways to thwart RMT, and all it's done so far is made everyone at least a little aggravated at some point, and most people who play a lot - very frustrated.

They need to learn to cut it out when it comes to said things, no compromising.

the problem with the "hidden fatigue" is that it does not affect the rmt at all. it affects the regular player. anything that affects the regular player in a negative way is a stupid idea. i have my fisherman to 50 now, but i had to completely quit working on my miner and btn to get this. isn't making you stop two classes because you are working on one kinda against their stated goal to make you level multiple classes? if it was just on one class it'd be a little different, but it is still a very stupid concept.

to me "hidden fatigue" on gathering classes is the most moronic thing in this game at this point and that's saying alot. the whole fatigue system is stupid in general, but the hidden fatigue on top of it is just plain ignorant.

This is one of the few things they decided to take over from FFXI.. They loved to screw the normal player instead of actually looking for bots. Look at games like Wow, they have countermeasures to deter this type of crap. Does it mean it never happens? No, but when it does, they deal with it accordingly.

I remember MMOGlider for wow.. Such a great bot, the thing would lvl for you, would gather for you, would do anything for you. Did it harm the game? Sure, but blizzard used Warden to detect it, and would then ban hundreds of people at a time. They wouldn't hotfix nodes to have a hidden variable that once it reaches 0 you can't obtain useful stuff from it. They let the items come in, but would then ban hundreds of accounts they could prove were using the software.

That's what needs to be done in this day and age. This game is already struggling as is. It's in shambles. In it's current state, I wouldn't recommend this game to my worst enemy. Hell, I wouldn't even give it the dignity of being my toilet paper, that's how bad it is. I'm not going to get into why it's such a pile of crap, but the fact that they are screwing the only player base they have? That kind of irks me
