New player looking for Social Interaction // Social LS recruiting

    Hello Odin!

I joined FFXIV about a week ago (Steam sales) and I can't say I got to meet a lot of people yet. The story-line quests are pretty much solo (so far?) and the few dungeons I completed with randomly picked players, didn't give me much opportunity for socializing.

A few days ago, I met Luna Devil, a new player like me (who also joined during the Steam sales). She was shouting in Ul'dah, hoping to find new friends, so I suggested we started a linkshell.

If you're a new player, or even if you are a more experienced one, you're welcome to join. The idea is to have people to talk to, share tips, help each others with crafting and dungeon queuing, and have a good time!

Thank you for reading me! I hope to hear from you, here, via pm or in-game.
    Best regards,
    Yu'sehji Dhen

Due to forum posting rules and character limitations, I had to leave out the part where I explain why I choose to start a Linkshell rather than joining a Free Company.

The truth is I've been receiving tons of invitations. Blind invitations. Since I don't want to start a debate on the subject, and the character limit would hit me hard, I'll just say I'm not interested in this kind of recruitment. I've also seen a few recruiting posts here and there, and a few shouts in-game, but nothing to win me over. I guess I'm too picky. I'd like to join a FC with a cool name, a good team spirit, an active guild chat, and affiliated with Ul'dah if possible. I might even consider starting one if I meet the right people. :-)

I'm probably old-school, but I think mmo's should be more than solo games where you occasionally team up with other players. I also think that guilds should be more than numbers of players who end up together for the sake of in-game benefits.

Neat trick to make sure there's no limit to characters used in the post: post and edit (You're welcome)

Also, there is a LS called Independent Agents that is pretty social, but it's not really active for non lvl 50's imho. If you're interested to check it out send Jimmy Robbins or Miah Zhwan a /tell ingame.

I myself have no active LS like that, have a pretty active and social FC though (with a cool name aswell!) but we're not affiliated with Ul'dah, meh. Anyway, hope you find something that suits you soon
