To Blue Garter and Who is really Hardcore on endgame content

I think no one know me ( ! ) and maybe no one take me serious but I wanna take my point out. ^^

I speak to Blue Garter (of course) and, everyone that kill first.

What I love of a game (and a mmo) ?

Doing Endgame of course

But What I really love is another thing.

You never tried to do one content without known anything? Just entering and "Let's do and know!"

Well... THIS is What I really love... but I see in last times a crescent (it's a word? sorry I don't speak well english ^^' ) mode to public video "How To"

See someone say: "Hey You must do this as is! Don't ask Why, just do it."

And I hate after when someone fall off from titan ex with Upheaval ask: "Why i'm gone down? I was near GAOL..... "

Just Why? Why? Why the hell you watch the video and just "Ditto" the fight and even far away don't know the "Why"... This is What I really hate, because people (not all of course) don't understand the gimmicks but just repeat What they see...

So this is What I'm asking to you....


Please please pleassseeeeeee for further content don't post strategy or video.. there is a part of player that wanna learn the fight alone.. without someone helping hands to hands on doing content

Because I hate when a new content exit and see people say me: See Video or we never win...

Well, I know JP show off their video of their wins but not truly a 'strategy' video. Certain ones who make guide videos I will not name makes money off of it, so they kind of have to keep posting.

It is far easier to just find 8 like minded players then it would be to convince the entire gaming community to not post strategies for a fight.

Seems easy.. FInd 7 players who says: I'll do alone!

Now it's easier to wait someone who post strategy and wait for easy win... and i think this killing the game... i don't pretend everyone don't post video.. i understand they do this for free... but making community dumb (not all again, there will always someone who play understand fight)

But watch T5...

Now everyone can kill Twintania because BG posted the video of their kill.. If they didn't now how many party really killed her?

I bet 3/4 of community still trying to dodge Twister :/

You could say directly that you want to continue baby-feeding the community.

These strategy guides are good if people are stuck on something for ages and want to move on more easily than they could alone. But at the moment they are just the only way to get access to a learning group for any content older than 2 weeks. Maybe you hardcore people (Shinra, BG & co...) could just wait for (let's say) 2 or 3 weeks before posting said guides, so that people could actually learn the fights instead of just waiting a week for your guide to come and then starting to bother even trying ?

If I remember well, making money off of game related content is against the ToS of youtube, and against the ToS of pretty every MMO out there... But I guess SE is fairly OK with that. On an other hand, a lot of guides you can find on the internet are so wrong you can hardly call them "guides" anyway...

It is and isn't - You could actually monetize videos if you're part of a partner channel, i.e Curse or Machinima, as they pretty much pay you to make content for them, you can't if you're a 'solo' act depending on company strictness, SE doesn't mind you monetizing if you follow the exact rules.

I wish it was as easy as seeing a video or something to know how the fight really went. But most people need real experience.

I think that for everyone to go into a fight and expect everyone else to do the least amount of prep possible (not looking up videos, strats, phases) and just "winging it" with no information to go off of is silly. It's not like people are "dittoing" the fight and not asking why, people know why, that's why they copy it.

If you want to go blind into a fight, find 7 other like minded individuals, rather than expecting everyone else to appease you.

From someone who is going to be pushing endgame content hard in 2.2, for Turns 6-9 the most valid proof is a vid of the kill, but I can guarantee you that while it is competitive for Leviathan EX and Turns 6-9 the 'hardcore' Free Companies are going to be very silent on strategies.

Just the video of the boss diing and you looting should be enough to prove you downed it then right ? ^^
