Unable to start the instanced quest fight for Keeping the Oath

Has anyone else been running into a problem trying to start an instanced battle for any quests that need one? For example, I am trying to start the final quest for PLD AF (and Hallowed Ground), but every time I try to start it I get a black loading screen with the loading animation turning in the bottom right hand part of the screen. Nothing else happens and the only way to get out of it is to force close FFXIV. I can tell you this has been a problem since at least yesterday, as that is when I first tried to start the battle. After many attempts I just gave up and went to bed. After waking up this morning I tried several more times, only to find the exact same problem is occurring.

For those that have been with FFXIV: ARR from the beginning, this problem is the EXACT same issue this game had when it first came out. No one could progress because any time an instanced battle was required for a class/job quest, no one could enter the fight.


EDIT: Just tried again. This time I zoned out, then teleported back to Dragonhead and chocobo'd back to the fight. Same thing happened though, black loading screen that never proceeds to the fight.
EDIT 2: I am on the Midgardsormr server if that matters.
EDIT 3: I just ran a duty roulette that took me through AK without issue. After the AK run was over I tried to start the Keeping the Oath fight again and I still get the same problem. So maybe it's a problem with this one instance only? Unless others have seen this problem for another class/job fight.
EDIT 4: Just finished a Garuda HM duty finder run, again with no issues. This is leading me to believe more and more that it's just a problem with the Keeping the Oath fight itself and no others.
EDIT 5: I dropped the quest and picked it up again. Ran back to the fight area and tried to start the fight again. No go. At this point all I can do is sit back and wait for SE to fix it. In the mean time I'm screwed out of play time as I can't even start on my relic quest until I beat this fight and finish out the PLD story, (confirmed by running to Gerolt to see if he would give me the relic quest and he doesn't).
EDIT 6: Gave it one more try after several more hours of waiting but it's still down. If only SE would at least acknowledge there is a problem...
