Well that's rude.
In what way is it "shameful", it's just not a high priority item for them right now.
(And before you say "BUT ITS SO SIMPLE TO ADD!" It's really not that simple)

They've said they're going to add it, there's no official date. Have some patience.

-___-" i know about the fantasia potion but you only get 1 (or 2 in the case of 1.0 players) and once you use it you cant do anymore changes and sometimes like me after a while of playing the same race you kinda wanna try a new one (without having to make a new character since grinding is a pain) but since you alredy used your fantasia potion then you are screwed.

They will be offering this as an optional service via the mog-station where you can pay a one-off fee to get another one sent to you.
However as it's a very low priority addition they haven't done it yet. Sometime between 2.2 and 2.3 we'll probably see this.

As the game is adding in a new race somewhere between 2.3 and or the new expansion (more likely the expansion) they'll want to have this as an available service for those who want to switch without levelling a new character.

Any step towards a cash shop in any way is shameful... If they start doing cash shop crap I want my sub fee cut at least in half, though at that point SE may as well go all in and go F2P or P2P. Let's not even start down that slope.

This is a completely optional service based on player feedback, a vast number of players requested it. You won't find anyone in their right mind asking for a Pay-To-Win service, and that's why you'll never see it added to the game.

All it is, is an additional service offering what is already in the game for a small additional fee that you NEVER have to pay for unless you really do want it.
It provides NO advantage to any players. It is completey cosmetic.

This is also a bog standard MMO service, just like world transfers. FFXI, WoW, TERA, Rift, pretty much ever MMO has offered services such as these. It's not a "Slippery slope", offering an optional service like this is a world apart from the likes of a Vanity or Armoury Store.

It is in no-way shamefull, this is something players truly wanted to be offered. On top of this you were given a potential 3-4 different occasions (depending on the situations) to re-edit your character, never have I heard of an MMO offering this for free at any time. Can't really call them stingy when they gave it out multiple times for free.
