Lag in game....

Hi there

I'm having lag with the ffxiv,
But i have fast connection ..... its fast downloading .. fast browsing .. fast in everything
except the game....

can someone help me out?

S = KBits sent per second
R = KBits received per second
Your ping is the green, yellow, red symbol next to those numbers.
But if you mean stuttering in town by saying "lag" it's probably your HDD.

If your problem is heavy stuttering in towns and other places with lots of players (Broken Water, Horizon, etc.) then putting FFXIV on a faster HDD does definately help. The ultimate solution is an SSD but a small and fast magnetic disk also helps reducing the problem.
Or just wait until SE fixes the problem of massive random accesses to HDD.

the movement of my character is smooth and its fine in Ul'dah or horizon+BW or whatever

Try "ping google.com" in powershell or cmd and if it's below 50ms your connection is fine. As I mentioned before the servers are located in japan and have a very slow response. The average lag players have is definately more than in other games, especially with the server-side GUI.
You will have to get used to it.

just have to wait till they fix this? do i have to suffer the lag
