Well, maybe you should...read the text.
The devs thought dyes should remove sheen because it's more realistic.
Many of us are just wondering why, of all the things to center on realism, would you choose something like that?
When people dye things, they just want to change the color. They don't want to change the quality of the material. In real life, that's a downside of using cheap or inappropriate dyes/paints. Why bring that here?
