healer gear drop rates?

ok did Turns 1-4 and ruda ex this week so fair and not one piece of healer gear dropped, so my friend is losing heart in being a healer cause she can't gear it, and with the amount of tank gear dropping I'm realizing I don't have to be a tank to get my gear, 5 pieces of tank gear dropped in those runs and over half of it went to greed rolls cause me and the other tanks i pugged all those with didn't need them. Is this some way to make people want to play tanks by flooding them with tank gear? or is this really a huge master plan to make people stop healing by not giving them gear?

I run Coil 1-4 weekly and also noticed a lack of healing gear. Though this week, 3 healer pieces dropped. Last week, the chest dropped. I can't say what the rates are like but we went from never seeing them to seeing a lot of healer drops... luck of the draw I guess.

I don't think healer gear has a lower chance of dropping, but I honestly rarely see healer drops in Coil. It's really annoying! In the last few weeks of running it we've seen the feet and neck drop, but several times we've seen four MNK pieces drop in one night. I know MNK probably doesn't have a higher weight in the loot table but damn, I really do seem to only see MNK drops a lot of the time.

If your friend don't want be an healer, he just have to change class, this is not a job and he doesn't need to make up any reason for change of heart. He's done with healer and wants do other things. Legit!
Then, quit a role because you don't gear in a week makes me thinking the old times I had to farm months to get one point of armor in other games. Some players wants it all, wants it now. Nothing wrong! If your friend wants a game that let him insta-cap and insta-gear, asking for it is legit too!
Last, I always ask myself why people talks in third person on such things? Is their friend incapacited of writing on a forum? If that so, it is nice of you to talk for them. In all other cases, well, it is best your friend comes here talking of his toughts. Third person talks are very likely to be misunderstood. It may be happened right now!

My first healer piece that wasn't just a lame accessory....Allagan Cane. This is after 6 weeks straight going through coil as a WHM. Healer drop rates in turns 1-4 seem kinda off but whatever, I'm used to seeing a lack of drops and using other means of gearing up that isn't coil.

This has been said a million times, but needs to be said again. Random is random. You have a sample size of what 10-12 drops? It is by no means unlikely to have zero healer drops in that sample. Just as it is not unlikely to have 5 tank drops.

And this has no effect on your next 10 drops, they will still be random. If you bring us a sample with 1000 drops and no healer drops, now that would be unlikely. Unlikely, but still not impossible.
