Question for tanks

I've recently taken on solo healing EM garuda and titan, havent tried ifrit yet.
I have asked a few mates about this, but need some honest feedback.
Does
-Having a macro to sound when I am going to produce alot of emnity help you out ?
-Does casting stoneskin on yourselfs hurt your MP pool ?

We used to always solo heal the Hard Mode Primals before we were as geared as we are now, so I imagine the principle will be the same as long as the damage and healing has scaled equally with the gear, which to me, it does appear to have.

I think that sort of macro would be quite helpful. My Scholar who I run Coil with has a lot of macros which just flash messages up in Party Chat, which as a Tank I find quite useful and have mentioned to our White Mage a few times that it might be quite handy for him to do the same. Even though we're all in TS, its still useful to get the little chime and the message when something's happening to bring your attention to it.

As for Stoneskinning, the same principle as the Hard Mode Primals should apply. We always used to solo Tank and solo Heal Titan HM, and I'd always go as Paladin as I could be Stoneskinning myself before every Mountain Buster. Pretty sure that would be just as easy on Ex Mode as there is still a recurring pattern.

In regards to the macro I could take it or leave it really, as reasonably especially in a primal fight there should be NO way at all your going to pull mob X off me. Unless your in the habit of dropping Medica II or something close to that level on enmity as soon as adds/sisters spawn. Outside of that while information is good, just knowing that you have a big heal or something else coming may stop me from burning a CD, but thats very situational. In regards to SS'ing, Pally's should be doing this, as again in a primal fight after the first few RoH combos, and some Cos/Flashes the mob isn't going anywhere so Riot Blade will fill the gap if MP is an issue.

I assume WHM since you mention enmity:

1.) While telling us does help a bit, a good tank (solo or not) won't lose hate unless the WHM refuses to Shroud. It's honestly probably better for the tank to have a macro to signify when the healer is starting to reach that threshold where it'll overtake the tank. This is only true if there is a lot of Medica 2ing going on as that can get ridiculous quickly. Shouldn't be much different from when you heal Titan HM, except for all the split damage - but it's controlled split damage for the most part.

2.) Nope! SS is low cost for a relatively great reward. Other than Flash, the only option a PLD has for using his MP is SS and if the PLD were to actually need MP back, they simply have to RB combo once or twice. Basically, don't panic and let them do what they need to do to mitigate what they've got to mitigate - you'll see this a lot in T5 if you haven't done it already.

Just remember - Shroud is your friend!

I use both SCH and WHM, however WHM is alot easier on titan EX.

Sorry forgot to mention I am also soloing twin, but pull at times due to decent amount of AOE healing.
